Habari rafikis!
Yesterday was our 10th work day in a row, and we were really starting to feel it! We started to continue our progress on the plumbing from the day before, but we realized early on that the trenches weren't dug deep enough! Every pile of dirt we shoveled had us counting the hours until our first rest day. Thankfully, our friendly contractors helped us out as we negotiated the placement of the pipes with the plumber.

We wanted to teach the kids how to use the tippy-taps, but we were surprised when they rushed over there and used it without any help from us! Even the ones that were visually impaired had their friends teach them how to use it and where to place their foot.

The absolute best part of our day was handing out the gifts to the children. June 5th was the last day of school for everyone, including the boarders, so we presented them with the gifts we bought for them and took pictures with them. It was touching to see them so excited about things we take for granted, like coloring books, play dough, soccer balls, etc. Things like that is what makes this trip so fulfilling for all of us, and renews our motivation when we get tired of working on the bathroom.

They sang and danced for us to say thank you! So cute!
...and now, we have our first *much needed* weekend! Stay tuned for our next blog post!
SWAHILI PHRASE OF THE DAY:
Nimesheba: I am full *the food was really good today*
