Habari ya jioni!

After yesterday's mishaps, it was brilliant to finally get back on track again. The PUC team had one of it's most productive days yet on the project!

Today was pretty straightforward:

We dug. A lot.

Unlike the kids at Camp Green Lake though, we dug with a purpose. Today we finally began to dig the trenches in order to connect the plumbing for the building! As the pipes need to be at a descending angle in order to harness the mighty power of gravity, our trenches would gradually get deeper as we went on until it was up to our shoulders! It was hard, honest work and we loved it (Also we are definitely building some muscle).

Besides finishing the trenches, we not only completed two tippy taps, but we finally had the water sucked out of the septic tank! The day honestly flew by with all the productive work we were doing, and, as an added bonus, we had fantastic, breezy weather!

Everything is coming up PUC Tanzania.

SWAHILI PHRASE OF THE DAY:

Ninatoka Amerikani: I am from America!
